Dossier Is on it's way to Rwanda!

Our Dossier is in transit to Rwanda. It was approved by the Rwandan embassy in Washington D.C. and now it's off to Rwanda to get translated and processed. Here's a portion of the letter from our adoption agency...

"Congratulations on the completion of this portion of your adoption process! The expected timeline for your family to receive an approval from the ministry is 3-6months. If you have questions or concerns during the waiting period, please feel welcome to contact me."

Once we have approval from Rwanda, we will get a referral within 1-2 months. The referral is documentation stating that they have matched us with a child(ren). We will get photos and medical information regarding the child(ren) they recommend. We then decide if we will accept the referral. If we accept the referral, we travel to Rwanda within 1-2 months!

What's the bottom line?
  • We will most likely be traveling to Rwanda within 5-10 months
  • It's all becoming very real!

I've been reminded lately of God's miracles. The Bible states, when miracles happened, the people involved were scared (i.e. Jesus appearing to the disciples walking on water, the angel appearing to Mary) OR at the very least God says, "Don't Be Afraid" - so I'm assuming they were afraid!

I have to remind myself of how God's miracles can seem scary but they are still MIRACLES! MIRACLES! Who wouldn't want MIRACLES in their life? God has called us to this life, called us to this miracle and He will show up.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for the next miracle.

I've got goosebumps all over me. I like your honesty and encouragement all at the same time. Yes, your life will most certainly CHANGE! but you know (as we knew) from the bottom of your hearts that this, in spite of all of it's great challenges, is from the Lord himself. I can't wait to hear the next chapter of your journey.
